Homemade Yogurt and Granola: Suburban Homesteading Adult Workshop

You don’t need to own multiple acres outside of town in order to dabble in the heart of homesteading.  You can explore “handmade and homegrown” right here in the suburbs.  We invite you to join Prairie Crossing Learning Farm staff as we share with you some of our favorite homesteading topics during our suburban homesteading workshop series!

What is delicious, easy to prepare, inexpensive, super-healthy, and very satisfying for breakfast or brunch? Homemade yogurt sprinkled with homemade granola, and topped with fresh (or frozen and thawed) berries! The whole family can enjoy that combination.

In this workshop, we will show you several methods for making yogurt - both with pots you're likely to have at home, and with different types of yogurt makers - and we'll discuss the pro's and con's of each.
