Hooters Opens in Gurnee

GURNEE, IL - Hooters has returned to Lake County after a nearly 10 year absence, opening a new restaurant Monday near Six Flags Great America in Gurnee.

Hooters Management Corp. spent $1.8 million to renovate a building previously occupied by IHOP, which closed in February, at 5670 Northridge Drive, the Daily Herald reports. The last Lake County Hooters was located in Vernon Hills but closed in 2006.

The Gurnee Hooters will have about 90 to 100 employees. The Hooters in Gurnee posted the following video to its Facebook page on Monday.
