Investigation Underway After Grayslake North Bomb Threat

Grayslake North High School was placed on a soft lockdown Monday morning after security officers found a message on a bathroom wall that read: βschool gonna blow up.β
Authorities responded to the school, located at 1925 N. Route 83, and with the assistance of bomb-sniffing dogs from the Lake County Sheriffβs Office and Naval Station Great Lakes searched the school, according to village officials.
Authorities did not find anything during the search and confirmed there was no credible threat, school officials said.

The soft lockdown had been lifted and classes have resumed at the high school.
The incident remains under investigation by the high schoolβs school resource officer.
