ISP Trooper Ellis Funeral Procession

The funeral procession for fallen Illinois State Police Trooper Gerald Ellis will be proceeding through our area Thursday April 4, 2019 at approximately 0915 AM. The processsion will travel W/B Rt 120 to Hainesville Rd, N/B Washington St, E/B to Adkinson, S/B to Brae Loch, E/B to CLC, They are scheduled to arrive at College of Lake County by 1130 AM.

On March 30, 2019 at approximately 3:25 A.M. Trooper Ellis was on duty traveling home on I-94 when he was struck by a wrong way driver who was traveling eastbound in the west bound lanes. Trooper Ellis sustained life threatening injuries and was taken to a local area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries Trooper Ellis leaves behind his wife Stacy, daughters Kaylee and Zoe.
