Lake Co. Deputies Step Up Patrols Over Super Bowl Weekend
The Lake County Sheriff's Office is urging those consuming alcohol or cannabis while at Super Bowl parties to plan for a sober ride home.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Sheriff's Office will be stepping up enforcement efforts over the Super Bowl weekend.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is urging those consuming alcohol or cannabis while at Super Bowl parties or while out at bars to plan for a ride home with a sober driver. Party hosts should also make a point to take care of designated drivers, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
“When you’re making your plans for a good time on Super Bowl night, make sure they include a sober ride home,” Lake County Sheriff John D. Idleburg said. “Even one drink can impair judgement. A designated driver can ensure you and your friends get home safely.”
