Lake Co. Man Charged With Grooming, Soliciting High School Students
The man provided career services to students and is also accused of inappropriate conduct with College of Lake County staff, students.
WAUCONDA, IL — A Lake County man who provides college and career services to high school students is facing multiple charges after authorities say he groomed and solicited two female students, police said Friday.
Adam Faulkner, 42, has been charged with two counts of grooming, two counts of solicitation of child sexual abuse material and two counts of indecent solicitation of a child.
According to a news release from the Wauconda Police Department, the investigation began after officials learned of alleged inappropriate conduct involving staff members and students at the College of Lake County, where Faulkner is also employed. He was immediately placed on leave, authorities said.

On Thursday, investigators executed a search warrant at Faulkner’s home, where they said they found evidence he engaged in grooming and indecent solicitation involving two Wauconda High School students.
Faulkner was initially taken into custody following a traffic stop for allegedly driving on a revoked license shortly before the search warrant was carried out, police said. He has since been formally charged in Lake County court in connection with the investigation.
