Lake County Deputies Credited WIth Saving Heroin Overdose Victim
The overdose victim was found unconscious at the Skyline Motel this past week.

Two Lake County Sheriff’s deputies are credited with saving the life of a man by administering Narcan, an opioid reversal drug.
Police responded to the Skyline Motel in Fox Lake around 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday where they found an unconscious male who was turning blue, according to a Lake County Sheriff’s Office press release.
Lake County deputies Francis Foy and Michael Nudi responded to the scene and Nudi administered one dose of Narcan to revive the victim, police said.

The victim was transported to Centegra Hospital. A search of the motel room turned up a yellow baggy containing a substance “consistent with the appearance of heroin” and other drug paraphernalia, according to the news release.
The Naloxone injection administered by Deputy Nudi was the third save by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the 11th save by Lake County law enforcement since the formation of the Lake County Opioid Initiative.
