Landscape Designer Wins $1 Million Lottery Prize

Jamison Fuller of Round Lake plans to use the money to save for his retirement and to buy his parents a new car.

ROUND LAKE, IL -Β A landscape designer has won big after purchasing a winning lottery ticket in recent weeks.

Jamison Fuller of Round Lake was at work when his wife sent him a text to let him know a store in the area had sold a $1 million Mega Millions Quick Pick ticket, according to an Illinois Lottery press release.

Fuller, who boys lottery tickets three to four times a month, said he went online to find the winning numbers from a May 10 drawing, which matched five numbers on his Quick Pick ticket.

He called his wife and shared the good news: They were $1 million richer, according to the news release.

β€œI finished my work day but it certainly was hard to concentrate,” Fuller said.

He plans to use the winnings to invest for retirement.

β€œI also plan to treat my parents to some nice things, starting with a new car,” he said.

Fuller bought his $1 million winning ticket at Circle K, 1991 West Maple Avenue in Mundelein, where he is a regular customer. Circle K received a bonus of $10,000, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling a winning ticket.
