Leaf Vacuuming Gets Underway Next Week In Grayslake
Vacuuming consists of multiple rotations of the entire village, and begins on Monday, October 23.

GRAYSLAKE, IL βIt is almost time again for the annual residential leaf vacuuming program to get underway in Grayslake.
Vacuuming consists of multiple rotations of the entire village, and begins on Monday, October 23. Leaves should be placed, not in bags, in a line within three feet of the curb or within five feet of the edge of the street where there is no sidewalk. It is important that you do not put the leaves in the street as they can clog drainage structures and cause problems, according to village offices.
Waste management will complete practice runs during the week of Oct. 16 so you may see trucks street sweepers traveling throughout town.
