Dear Editor,

I recently learned that Congressman Bob Dold and State Rep. Sam Yingling are joining forces to offer Lake County residents a job fair on August 18 in Round Lake Beach at the Sports Center at 2004 Municipal Way, with dozens of local employers.

It is unusual to see two politicians from opposite sides of the aisle and at different positions of federal and state government actually working together to better serve the people they work for and not special interest groups. I commend them both for working together to increase job availability.

Congressman Dold and Rep. Yingling are very active in our area, and I am optimistic that hundreds of people from our community will be served by this event and partnership!
