Local Goddard School Owners Supports Special Needs Children

Owners Chair a benefit for innovative Alternative Learning Center

David and Donna Raye, Owners of The Goddard School in Third Lake, IL, were Co-Chairs for One Special Night for Very Special Kids. The charity event had a city of Chicago theme featuring the music of The Chicago Experience and was held at The Viper Alley in Lincolnshire, IL on November 9, 2019. All proceeds benefit students with multiple disabilities and complex medical needs from 3 years to 22 years of age within The Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL).

SEDOL is developing an innovative and interactive outdoor learning classroom that will produce amazing transformations for Special Needs Children. The Outdoor Classroom will be on the grounds of The Laremont School in Gages Lake, IL.

"The SEDOL Foundation really appreciates the time and effort that Donna and David have put into this event," stated Ann Subry, Director of The SEDOL Foundation, "They have created a fun evening that features great music in a perfect venue."

The Raye's helped The SEDOL Foundation raise $60,000 this year. This was Donna and David's 7th year of hosting this annual event, accumulating donations close to $400,000 for various impactful programs such as music, deaf & hard of hearing, and much more for At-Risk children and their families.

The Raye's already have next years theme in place and will feature The Summer of Love with music from 1967. It will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Viper Alley in Lincolnshire. For more information, call Ann Subry at 847-548-7032.
