Lola's Fitting Room, Co. Is Closing It's Doors
This unique and beloved bra fitting shop is going out of business -- a loss that will be felt by women all over Lake County.
Many women in North Eastern Lake County who have had a professional bra fitting that changed their life, have had that experience at Lola’s Fitting Room in Downtown Grayslake. Bex Anderson, owner and founder of this quaint and quite lovely boutique located in the historic blue house on the corner of Lake and Center Streets, has touched the lives of thousands of women in the two years & three months that she has provided services beyond the perfect bra fitting. Her passion has been to help women develop a self-confidence and acceptance of their body -- a difficult and emotional struggle that so many face every day. Bex didn’t keep her passion only within the vintage inspired walls of her shop. She reached out to women in need providing free fittings and bras to those in local shelters -- touching these lives personally and making a positive difference in their difficult life situations. Beyond the shelters, there have been shut-ins and seniors who haven‘t had the ability to venture out of their homes and receive services and much needed well-fitting undergarments providing greater health and well-being as well as an uplifted spirit -- Bex has helped those ladies as well. The inclusion of many specialized services and unique events offered by Lola’s Fitting Room have enabled a larger community of people to be positively impacted by this one-of-a-kind small business.
The Mission Statement for Lola’s Fitting Room further describes Bex’s greater purpose:
”Our mission is to encourage and inspire positive body image and self-confidence by providing professional fitting services and quality products to women of all shapes, sizes, physical capabilities, and financial means.”

Lola’s Fitting Room could never be considered a “typical” bra or lingerie store. Bex‘s heart, compassion and desire to truly meet the needs of everyone who stepped through the door, made this specialty lingerie business unlike any other. Her understanding of the importance of providing personalized service has been felt by each customer. Since opening day, the quality products at Lola’s were offered in a range of styles, price points and hard-to-find sizes so that anyone could find affordable, well-fitting bras, foundations and lingerie at Lola’s Fitting Room.
Lola’s doors in Grayslake will be permanently closed at end of day February 28th. However, the vision that Bex has for another Lola’s someday is alive and growing. So, let’s look forward to a new Lola’s Fitting Room in another location that will meet needs of local women even better than before.
