Longtime Grayslake Fire Trustee Dies After Decades of Service
Karen Wojciechowski served the Grayslake Fire Protection District for more than 30 years as a commissioner and trustee.
GRAYSLAKE, IL — The Grayslake Fire Protection District is mourning the loss of Trustee Karen Wojciechowski, who died unexpectedly on May 30.
Wojciechowski dedicated more than 30 years to the district, serving as a trustee for 10 years and as a fire commissioner for 20 years, according to the fire district Facebook page.
District officials described her as a valued friend and steadfast supporter of the fire district, its members and the community. A visitation and funeral was held last week. Additional arrangements will be announced as they become available.
