Man, 30, Drives Car Into Pond In Lake County: Officials
The car went into a pond on the Perricone Garden Center & Nursery property in Volo on Thursday.
VOLO, IL — A driver was not injured when he drove his car into a pond on the Perricone Garden Center & Nursery property in Volo on Thursday.
The 30-year-old man was able to escape the incident without injury and walked himself into a Thornton's gas station about a mile from the crash site in wet clothing before an employee called to request a well-being check from police, according to the Daily Herald. The man told police his vehicle was in a pond but he not sure of where the crash occurred.
Police believe the man was driven to the gas station by a Good Samaritan, and his vehicle was eventually located at around 8 a.m. Thursday.
