Grayslake Man Shot and Killed by Officer in Round Lake (UPDATE)
The officer was reportedly involved in a struggle with the man.

ROUND LAKE, IL β A Round Lake police officer shot and killed a man after the two got involved in a physical struggle, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
The officer was responding to the area after more than one caller reported a suspicious person banging on doors in the 0-100 block of North Macgillis Drive just before 11 p.m. A caller also told 911 the man attempted to forcefully enter at least one home.
The officer who arrived at the scene located the man and a physical struggle ensued between the two. The officer fired and shot the man who was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as Michael Robert Musson, 22, of Grayslake, reports the Chicago Tribune.

Pending an investigation, the officer has been placed on administrative leave. The officer was treated and released at a nearby hospital for injuries.
