Medline, Grayslake Chamber Of Commerce Receive EDC Awards

GRAYSLAKE, IL — The village of Grayslake's Economic Development Commission has chosen to award the 2022 Economic Development Award to Medline Industries, LP.

The Economic Development Award is given each year by the EDC to businesses, organizations or individuals who promote an environment that provides for additional job opportunities and makes significant contributions to the expansion of the community’s tax base and generation of additional revenues in the area’s economy, according to a news release from the village of Grayslake.

Medline is being recognized for its investment in the village of Grayslake through the development of a new 1.4 million square foot logistics center in the Cornerstone business park, helping to create shovel-ready business sites. This project will encourage future developments in the area, create thousands of local jobs and greatly expand the local tax base, according to village officials.

The EDC also announced the winner of the 2022 Business Leader of the Year Award, which will go to the Grayslake Area Chamber of Commerce. The Business Leader of the Year award is given each year by the EDC to an individual or organizations whose contributions promote economic development in Grayslake, according to the news release.

The chamber of commerce is being recognized for their continued investment in and commitment to Grayslake’s local economy through chamber-hosted community events as well as the support provided to the business community in Grayslake.

Medline and the Grayslake Chamber of Commerce will be recognized at the Grayslake Area Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber Board Installation & Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, January 18, in Grayslake.
