Meijer Planning to Open Round Lake Beach Store This Summer

ROUND LAKE BEACH, IL - A new Meijer will open in Round Lake Beach this summer and the grocer is now hiring for 280 open positions at the store.

The store is now hiring clerks, cake decorators, customer service reps, cashiers, meat cutters and more and those interested in applying can do so online, according to a news release from Meijer. A specific date has not yet been set for the store's opening at Rollins and Hainesville roads, the Lake County News-Sun reports.

Earlier this month, Meijer announced it would invest $400 million in new and remodeled stores in 2016. Meijer will open nine new supercenter grocery stores this year, including one in Flossmoor, according to a news release.

The Round Lake Beach Meijer will be the grocers first location in Lake County.
