Melodie Gliniewicz Indicted on Conspiracy Charge

A grand jury on Wednesday indicted Melodie Gliniewicz on a conspiracy charge weeks after charges of felony money laundering and misuse of charitable funds were lodged against the widow of disgraced Fox Lake Lt. Charles Joseph Gliniewicz, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The couple allegedly misspent more than $10,000 in funds meant for the Fox Lake Explorers Program, which Lt. Gliniewicz ran, according to the Chicago Tribune. Gliniewicz shot himself, staging it as a murder, on Sept. 1 as allegations surrounding his theft began to come to light.

Melodie Gliniewicz is free on bond and set to go to trial in June.
