Metra Closes Ingleside Station as Manhunt Continues

Metra has closed its Ingleside station on the Milwaukee District/North line until further notice as a manhunt continues following the shooting death of a Fox Lake Police Department officer.

Inbound and outbound train service between Long Lake and Fox Lake has resumed.

Metra issued the following update on its website shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday:

Inbound and outbound train service between Long Lake and Fox Lake has resumed. However, the Ingleside station remains closed until further notice due to police activity. Commuters traveling to Ingleside will be bused back to that location from Fox Lake. Please listen to platform announcements for the location of your trains.
