Music in Grayslake

I have always had a passion for music.  From pots and pans, to drums, to guitar it seems like I have always needed make noise in my own way.   Lately, we've been reaching out in larger ways including setting up a local Grayslake "Concert in the Park" to benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research.  It's coming up on 7/7, please come. I'll post a link.   It's been quite rewarding seeing the community and local bands come together for the concert.   I thought it might be cool to set up a blog to continue discussions about Music within Grayslake. We have some great local bands and local concert venues that we could perhaps promote more.

One question I had is whether local residents prefer outdoor events like our upcoming concert in Central Park or more traditional venues inside a building or indoor stage.

I'm also wondering if there is a more unified way Grayslake could market itself and events outward.  As a small event promoter, it can be very difficult to get the word out and publicize. With some marketting help, some of our smaller events might have more success.
