REO Speedwagon played a sold-out show at the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan on Saturday, November 18th.

WAUKEGAN, IL -- Formed just a few hours south in Champaign, IL back in 1967, REO Speedwagon is no stranger to sold out venues.

Returning to Waukegan's historic Genesee Theatre this past weekend, the band was greeted by a full house inside the luxurious 90 year-old vaudeville cinema and concert hall.

Frontman Kevin Cronin led concertgoers on a blast from the past with a setlist featuring one throwback after another.

Cronin, who joined the band in the early 1970's, grew up in Oak Lawn and still frequents his hometown.

The other four members of REO Speedwagon did an equally excellent job rolling through their extensive discography over a period just shy of two hours long.
