Q.   If I plan on selling my house this year, when is the best time to put it on the market?

A.    In the past we have always thought the best time to put your house on the market is the spring time.  In real estate spring comes early.  The end of February or the beginning of March is probably the best time to get started with the marketing.  Many buyers start looking early thinking they can close on the property about the same time their kids get our of school.  This also gives the Realtor time to get the marketing and advertising materials together.  Of course, it would be a good idea to have a market analysis and get some suggestions from your Realtor regarding things you need to do to prepare your house for sale.
