Rep. Weber to Host Aug. 4 Blood Drive to Address Blood Shortage

Rep. Weber is partnering with the Village of Fox Lake and Vitalant to host a blood drive and food collection event on Tuesday, August 4.

FOX LAKE – State Representative Tom Weber (R-Lake Villa) is partnering with the Village of Fox Lake and Vitalant to host a blood drive and food collection event on Tuesday, August 4. To ensure the safety of blood donors in light of COVID-19, donors will need to sign-up for appointments in advance, no walk-in donations will be accepted. During the blood drive, donations of non-perishable food will also be collected to benefit the Grant Township Food Pantry.

"Coronavirus has caused the cancelation of traditional walk-in blood drives and led to a blood shortage," said Weber. "This appointment only blood drive ensures a safe environment for all donors and will help us address the current shortage. We'll also be collecting donations for the local food pantry and I hope residents will join us for this opportunity to support those in need."
