Schedule Set For Grayslake's Tree Lighting, Holiday Festival

The fun and festivities will be held on Nov. 25 in downtown Grayslake.

GRAYSLAKE, IL — The Grayslake Chamber of Commerce will host its annual tree lighting and holiday festival from 4 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 25.

Here's a look at this year's schedule of events:

  • 3:30 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.: Photos with Santa.
  • 5:30 p.m.: The tree lighting ceremony in downtown Grayslake.
  • 5 to 8 p.m.: The Grayslake Arts Alliance Holiday Fine Arts Show and Sale on the second floor of the Grayslake Village Hall.
  • 3 to 8 p.m.: Visit the Grayslake Giving Trees at the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum, 164 Hawley St.. Local organizations will have decorated trees to view, and residents can vote on their favorites.
  • 6 to 8 p.m.: Carriage rides at village hall, 10 Seymour Ave.

Those stopping out to this year's festival can stroll downtown and listen to live madrigal carolers, stop into various shops and and buy hot cocoa and treats from vendors on the streets.
