Regional Office of Education Foundation offers eleven scholarships to Lake County high school seniors
GRAYSLAKE, IL – The Lake County Regional Office of Education Foundation, Inc. has extended the deadline for scholarship submission to June 1, 2020 in response to the coronavirus community health emergency.
The Foundation will award eleven (11) scholarships of $1,000 each to eleven deserving 2020 Lake County high school seniors.
The Board for the Foundation has asked each Lake County high school to submit one outstanding student’s name for consideration to be considered for one of the eleven awards.
Completed applications should be submitted by June 1, 2020. The applications will be carefully considered, and awardees will be selected by June 15, 2020. A committee for the Foundation is in place to review the applications after submission. Students interested in applying can contact their own district superintendent for a scholarship application.
“We believe that every child should have an opportunity to be successful every day, and extending the deadline allows for greater opportunity for our scholars.” said Roycealee Wood, Foundation President and Regional Superintendent of Schools.
