SUV Crashes Into Fox Lake Auto Body Shop, Injuring Two: Report
The vehicle slammed into auto repair shop Saturday morning, causing extensive damage to the building and injuring two, the shop owner said.
FOX LAKE, IL — Two people were injured Saturday morning when a Chevrolet Traverse crashed into Dan’s Auto Body on Rollins Road in Fox Lake, causing major damage to the building and totaling the SUV.
Doug Lewis, who owns the auto repair shop, said he and an employee were standing just feet away when they heard the impact and rushed to help remove one of the occupants from the wrecked vehicle at about 7:20 a.m. Saturday, according to the Daily Herald.
Police are investigating the crash, and village officials are expected to assess the building’s structural integrity before the business can reopen, according to the article.
