SWALCO Will Close Grayslake Recycling Center

LAKE COUNTY, IL - The five electronics recycling facilities in Lake County will close in May after a recent decision made by the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County board.

The closures will include the recycling center at the public works facility in Grayslake, 585 Berry Ave. Member municipalities will no longer pay to continue the program, which is usually supported through state funding.

In addition to the electronics recycling drop-off in Grayslake, SWALCO will also close facilities in Barrington, Ingleside, Highland Park and Waukegan.

The collection sites will close effective May 1.
