Teen Falls From Fence, Dies In Round Lake Beach: Coroner
The 17-year-old boy was found unconscious in his backyard early Thursday and pronounced dead at the scene.
ROUND LAKE BEACH, IL — A 17-year-old Round Lake Beach boy has died after he fell off a fence in his backyard early Thursday, authorities said.
The Round Lake Fire Protection District and Round Lake Beach Police Department was called to the home in the 2000 block of Evergreen Lane in Round Lake Beach at about 12:30 a.m. for a report of a person who was injured and bleeding, according to a news release from the Lake County Coroner's Office.
When they arrived, they found the boy who was unconscious and not breathing. The boy has since been identified as Alexis Rodriguez , 17, of Round Lake Beach.

Authorities say it appears the boy was climbing a fence in the backyard of his home when he fell.
Results from an autopsy show he died from blunt force injuries of his neck, according to a news release.

The incident is under investigation by the Round Lake Beach Police Department.
