It takes a lot of hard work – and time – to become a full college professor, but obtaining such a prestigious title can pay off in the long-run.
The American Association of University Professors’ annual survey compiles faculty compensation data at colleges across the U.S., and the Chronicle of Higher Education used the findings to rank each university based on average salaries for full professors.
Take a look at the 25 Illinois colleges – both public and private – that had the highest average full professor salaries during the 2013-14 academic year.
