Twelve Marching Bands Compete at North Knight's Marching Band Festival
The festival will be held Sunday at Grayslake North.

The Grayslake North High School (GNHS) Marching Knights will kick off their 2015 -16 season by hosting the fifth annual North Knight’s Marching Festival, from 12 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13.
The event has grown from four entrants in 2011 to 12 this year. This year’s competing high schools include: Antioch, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Elk Grove, Grant, Grayslake Central, Lakes, Marengo, Rolling Meadows, Richmond-Burton, South Milwaukee, and Round Lake (in exhibition).

The bands will join GNHS on their home field at 1925 N. Route 83, in Grayslake.
Schools will compete for places and individual awards (Best Percussion, Best Drum Major, Best Auxiliary) while performing their half-time shows. In case of rain, the festival and performances will take place in the adjoining field house.

The public is invited to attend. Parking is free, entrance is $7 for adults, and $5 for seniors and students (with an ID). Concessions will be available.
