Visitations Again Suspended At Lake Co. Jail
Due to a recent increase in the positivity rate for the coronavirus, the jail will switch to remote video visitation sessions.
LAKE COUNTY, IL β The Lake County Jail is again suspending in-person visitation of inmates due to e sustained increase in the area's coronavirus positivity rate, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
All inmates will receive a voucher code, which will be valid to use for free remote video visitation, according to the news release.
In-person meetings from attorneys and other professionals will continue to be allowed with protocols in place to reduce the likelihood of COVID-19 being transmitted to the inmate population, according to the sheriff's office. Those wishing to conduct an off-site video visitation
