GRAYSLAKE, Ill. – Working to help grow the local economy by helping job seekers secure employment, state Rep. Sam Yingling, (D-Grayslake) is announcing that he will be hosting a job fair with special guest, U.S. Rep. Bob Dold,(R-IL10), August 18 at Round Lake Area Park District’s Sports Center.
“This is an opportunity to work bipartisanly to help our constituents,” Yingling said about the inter-governmental partnership. “A job fair is a great resource to help direct struggling constituents toward employment opportunities, and I look forward to working with Rep. Dold on this endeavor.”
The Job Fair will be held on August 18 at Round Lake Area Park District’s Sports Center located at 2004 Municipal Rd., in Round Lake Beach. It will run from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Dozens of local employers will be on hand accepting resumes and conducting on site interviews. Job seekers are encouraged to dress for success and bring plenty of copies of their resumes.
“Each and every day I hear from people that they are concerned with the basic things - how to put food on the table and how to find a good job. Put simply, people are concerned about making life work, and they are frustrated that leaders in government do not understand,” Rep. Dold said. “That’s why Representative Yingling and I have set aside partisanship to put together a job fair with over 400 available jobs. As your representative in Congress, I want to make it as easy as possible for you to get a good job in our community.”
