Yingling Tours University Center of Lake County

ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. - As a part of his ongoing efforts to visit organizations whose funding was in grave jeopardy during Gov. Rauner’s budget impasse, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, met with staff from the University Center of Lake County and toured their facility Monday.

“I am spending my time home from Springfield to meet with businesses, schools and services providers that are depending on a responsible budget to continue providing vital services to our community,” said Yingling. “The University Center of Lake County provides students of all ages in the Lake County region with an affordable, non-traditional alternative to further their education. The University Center isn’t just a place for residents to get an education, it’s a pathway to a long and successful career path. My visit to the center helped highlight for me the importance of ensuring their doors remain open for years to come.”
