Yingling Visits with Grayslake Trucking Company

Yingling hears from local business owner

ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – On Wednesday, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, visited Sancken Trucking in Grayslake to discuss the ways the state can better support small and medium sized companies.

“I always appreciate an opportunity to get an inside look on the day to day operations of some of our area’s employers,” Yingling said. “These visits afford me opportunities to hear directly from employers and employees about their concerns, and help me better conceptualize pro-growth policies.”

Yingling, a small business owner himself, grew up working in his family’s restaurant. He supported an economic reform plan in House Bill 160 that lowers fees on small businesses, extends tax credits for companies that create local jobs, expands tax relief for companies that offer internship or apprenticeship opportunities, and requires companies that take taxpayer-funded subsidies and the move jobs out of state to pay back the cost of their tax break.
