Zion Woman Shot In Abdomen Seriously Injured: Police

The Zion Police Department said an active investigation is underway into a Sunday, April 26 shooting in the 2300 block of Jethro Avenue.

GRAYSLAKE, IL — The Zion Police Department said it's investigating after a Zion woman was hurt in a shooting Sunday in the 2300 block of Jethro Avenue. According to the police department, officers were called to Vista Medical Center East just before 4:30 a.m. after the 21-year-old woman was brought into the ER for a gunshot wound to the abdomen. According to authorities, her injuries are considered to be serious.

Officers learned that the shooting took place outside the Jethro Avenue address, and officers and detectives were there Sunday morning collecting evidence.
