2 Arrested Over Stolen Medications: Highland Park Crime Reports
Highland Park Police Blotter: March 19 - March 26

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded than an arrest is not an indication of guilt, and criminal charges, which are often dropped or reduced, represent merely accusations by the state. All persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
INCIDENTS
STOLEN CAR
Someone rented a 2017 Hyundai Accent from the Hertz rental car company in the 0-100 block of Skokie Valley Road on Feb. 28 using fraudulent renter information. The company reported on the morning of March 21 that the car still hadn't been returned.

ARRESTS

Adem Senduy, 28, of the 100 block of Phillip Road, Vernon Hills, was arrested at 1:34 a.m. on March 19 and charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Park Avenue West. He was also issued a citation for speeding and improper lane usage. Police declined to say at what level his blood alcohol concentration was recorded or if he refused sobriety tests.
Ryan Miller, 18, of the 600 block of Barberry Road, Highland Park, was arrested at 6:28 p.m. on March 19 and charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol by a minor after police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the 600 block of Ridge Road and found 94 grams of cannabis, a scale, a grinder, smoking pipes and baggies.
Patrick Shaver, 35, of the 3300 block of Krenn Avenue, Highland Park, was arrested at 1:33 a.m. on March 23 and charged with driving under the influence and speeding following a traffic stop near Half Day Road and Skokie Valley Road. Police declined to say at what level his blood alcohol concentration was recorded or if he refused sobriety tests.
Christopher Rodriguez-Alvarez, 36, of the 600 block of Christiana Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 3:14 a.m. on March 23 at the Walgreens in the 600 block of Elm Place and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of retail theft after police responded to a report that someone had stolen multiple over-the-counter medications from the store. He allegedly took $1,300 in items.
A 35-year-old Chicago woman was arrested at 12:06 p.m. on March 23 and charged with driving with a suspended license after police were called to a report of an "unwanted" person in a vehicle parked in the 2700 block of Point Lane.
A 24-year-old Park City man was arrested at 2:06 a.m. on March 23 and charged with driving while license suspended following a traffic stop in the 800 block of Laurel Avenue. He was also issued citations for possession of cannabis and disobeying a stop sign.
Eduardo Martinez-Leon, 22, of the 300 block of Temple Avenue, Highland Park, was arrested at 6:50 a.m. on March 24 at the Walgreens in the 600 block of Elm Place and charged with retail theft after police investigated a report that someone had shoplifted multiple over-the-counter medications from the store. He allegedly stole a single package of drugs.
Shuujin Vanchig, 41, of the 1900 block of Green Bay Road, Highland Park, was arrested at 4 p.m. on March 24 and charged with battery after police responded to a report of an argument in the 1800 block of Sunset Road.
