3 DUI Arrests in Highland Park Last Week

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Muhammad Idris Ibn Ahmad, 35, of the 200 block of McKinley Avenue in Waukegan, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, failure to signal lane change, speeding and driving while license suspended after being stopped by police in the 3300 block of Skokie Valley Road at 3 a.m. May 31. Ahmad was released on a personal recognizance bond with a July 18 court date.

Luis Ramirez-Martinez, 23, of the 1500 block of Wilson Avenue in Waukegan, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and no valid driver’s license after being stopped by police in the 0-100 block of the Edens Expressway at 5 a.m. May 31. Ramirez-Martinez was released on a personal recognizance bond with a June 20 court date.

Etay Eder, 23, of the 400 block of Briar Hill in Deerfield, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, open transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage and failure to signal lane change after being stopped by police who responded to a driving complaint in the 400 block of Skokie Valley Road at 5 a.m. June 1. Eder was released on a personal recognizance bond with a June 20 court date.

SPEEDING 35+ MPH OVER LIMIT

Anton Schirmang, 28, of the 600 block of Glendale in Glenview, was arrested and charged with speeding 35 mph or more over the limit, no valid registration and improper lane usage after being stopped by police in the 1200 block of Central Avenue at 8:30 a.m. June 1. He was released on a personal recognizance bond with a July 9 court date.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Johnny Baldwin, 18, of the 200 block of Tollview in Elgin, was arrested at 2 a.m. May 28 and charged with driving while license suspended, speeding and uninsured motor vehicle after being stopped by police in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road. Baldwin was released on a personal recognizance bond with a July 9 court date.

Joseph Howieson, 19, of the 1700 block of Orchid Street in Aurora, who was a passenger in the vehicle was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis. Howieson was released on a personal recognizance bond with a July 9 court date.
