4 Felonies From 'Fraudulent' Prescriptions: Highland Park Crime
Highland Park Police Blotter: Nov. 14 - Nov. 20

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded than an arrest is not an indication of guilt, and criminal charges, which are often dropped or reduced, represent merely accusations by the state. All persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
INCIDENTS
RETAIL THEFT

On the afternoon of Nov. 13, police received report that an unidentified man had shoplifted numerous items from a business in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road around 1 p.m. on Nov. 9. Police did not offer a description of the man, the items or the store.
CAR BURGLARY

Someone stole a blanket and a garage door opener from an unlocked Mercedes-Benz between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 15. The vehicle had been parked in the 1100 block of Linden Avenue and its back door was later found left open.
CAR BURGLARY
On Nov. 6 between 7:45-8:20 a.m., someone rummaged through the glove compartment of an unlocked Mercedes-Benz that was parked in the 400 block of Central Avenue, although nothing was reported stolen.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
On the afternoon of Nov. 19, police were told someone had scratched the surface of a Chevy Surbaban while it was parked in the 600 block of Central Avenue. The apparent damage from a key stretched across the front passenger side door under the door handle, along the rear passenger side door and the rear quarter panel between the back door and wheel.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Frank Petralito, 53, of the 900 block of Elm Ridge Drive, Glencoe, was arrested Nov. 13 at 12:24 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence, fail to reduce speed to avoid an accident and uninsured motor vehicle after police responded to a two-car accident near Half Day and Skokie Valley roads.
Chase Parthe, 26, of the 0-50 block of N. Sheridan Road, Waukegan, was arrested Nov. 17 at 3:43 p.m. and charged with domestic battery and possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a report of a fight in the 2000 block of First Street.
A 20-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested Nov. 17 at 6:22 p.m. and charged with driving without a valid driver's license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after police responded to a two-car accident near Park Avenue West and Skokie Valley Road.
A 60-year-old Highland Park man was cited administratively for retail theft after passing all points of sale without paying for several items at a business in the 1600 block of Deerfield Road. Police did not specify what items he allegedly attempted to steal or their reported value.
Shawn Rashidi, 27, of the 5500 block of North Austin Avenue, Chicago, was arrested on Nov. 20 at 12:02 a.m. on an outstanding warrant for violation of an order of protection issued by Fayette County, Illinois.
Eddy Odisho, 30, of the 5500 block of North Austin Avenue, Chicago, was arrested Nov. 20 at 4:33 a.m. and charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance after police were called to a CVS drug store in the 1500 block of Clavey Road for a report that he was trying to pass a fraudulent prescription.
