75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day: Second Annual Veterans Forum

Highland Park ---- Highland Park Historical Society will cohost with Highland Park American Legion Post 145 on Monday December 7th at 6:30 PM ‘75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day: Second Annual Veterans Roundtable.’

The Second Annual Veterans Forum at which we will focus on honoring World War II veterans. American Legion Post 145 Commander Larry Sassorossi will moderate a panel of veterans who will recall where they were when they learned of Pearl Harbor, their reaction, their contribution to the war effort, and in what way did their service benefit them. Participants are encouraged to bring memorabilia to share.

Each panelist will offer key moments their service and will bring personal affects to share. Light refreshments will be served afterwards allowing audience to informally talk with the panelists.

Highland Park Historical Society’s archives have moved to the Highland Park Public Library at 494 Laurel Avenue. Archivist Nancy Webster will be available Tuesday-Friday from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm and Sunday from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. It is best to call in advance for an appointment.
