The 7th Annual Butterfly Reception & Benefit
Supporting Young Breast Cancer Patients at NorthShore's Kellogg Cancer Centers

The Karen Dove Cabral Foundation will host its 7th annual Butterfly Reception and Benefit on Sunday, October 18. Friends, family and supporters concerned about the lives of young mothers dealing with breast cancer will gather for a light buffet, libations and live music, while sharing a mission to assist young patients in need, and their families. Guests will also have an opportunity to bid on an exciting array of silent auction and raffle items.
This year the Karen Dove Cabral Foundation is pleased to be honoring David J. Winchester, MD., FACS Chief, Division of Surgical Oncology at NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) Kellogg Cancer Center. Dr. Winchester is being recognized for his years of uncompromising patient-focused breast cancer care and his sensitivity to the myriad of challenges confronted by young mothers and their families.
Proceeds from the 7th annual Butterfly Reception and Benefit will directly support patients undergoing treatment for breast cancer at NorthShore Kellogg Cancer Centers by paying for vital treatments, therapies, and services not covered by insurance, a critical unmet need identified by Karen when she was in treatment. Since 2009 the Karen Dove Cabral Foundation has raised over $120,000, providing much needed support to young mothers with breast cancer.
