The Auxiliary of NorthShore at Highland Park Hospital Launches Annual Appeal to

The Auxiliary of NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) at Highland Park Hospital, a volunteer organization that raises funds for and provides services to NorthShore Highland Park Hospital, proudly kicked off its Annual Appeal in July to support world-class healthcare close to home. “There’s No Place Like Home…For World-Class Healthcare” is the theme of this year’s initiative. Funds raised from the volunteer organization’s Annual Appeal benefit NorthShore Highland Park Hospital and its healthcare programs and initiatives, including Kellogg Cancer Center, Primary Stroke Center, Emergency Services, Women’s Health, Cardiovascular Services, Neurological Institute, Advanced Imaging, Diabetes Care, Be Well-Lake County and more, ensuring the community always has access to outstanding care and comprehensive services. 

“It is a privilege to raise funds for NorthShore Highland Park Hospital and continue the rich tradition started by our Auxiliary predecessors over 90 years ago,” says Abbe Silverberg Sparks, president of The Auxiliary at NorthShore Highland Park Hospital. “With the support of our Auxiliary members, the Highland Park community, and surrounding neighborhoods and towns that the Hospital serves, we can help ensure that world-class healthcare continues to thrive at our community Hospital.”

To help further the mission of The Auxiliary’s Annual Appeal, 2nd Street Bistro and 2nd Street Enoteca  in Highland Park will graciously donate 15% of every dinner bill on Wednesday, August 15 from 5:00 p.m. till closing. Members of The Auxiliary, friends and community members at large are invited to indulge in Chef Michael’s delicious creations at 2nd Street Bistro and 2nd Street Enoteca while supporting this worthy cause. For diners looking to BYOB, The Auxiliary will have bottles of wine on-hand and all donations for wine will also support the organization’s Annual Appeal.
