Antiques + Modernism Winnetka Kicks Off its 2015 Show at Material Possessions

The Midwest's Most Well-Respected Combined Antiques and Mondernism Show Benefiting Winnetka Community House

On May 14, The Woman’s Board of Winnetka Community House partnered with the local style and design powerhouse Material Possessions for the second year in a row to kick off the 2015 celebration of the iconic Antiques + Modernism Winnetka show. Guests, including Committee Members, Sustainers and Members of the Board of Governors, enjoyed an array of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and desserts while perusing Material Possessions’ expansive collection of interior design treasures, home entertaining staples and unique wearables. Fifteen percent of all purchases made throughout the evening were generously donated to benefit Winnetka Community House and this year’s November Show.

“Every year, patrons who are looking for one-of-a-kind pieces to match their personal design style, and complete every room in their homes, find treasures at the Antiques + Modernism Winnetka show,” said 2015 Show Chair, Raheela Gill Anwar. “Material Possessions was once again the ideal place for committee members to gather, shop, and build excitement for this year’s show.”

Since the combined show’s inception in 2009, esteemed dealers from across the country and Europe flock to Winnetka to showcase fine examples of American, European, and Asian antiques, as well as pieces from the Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Mid-Century design movements, ranging from the 17th century to the mid-20th century. Offering a wide variety of furniture, lighting, jewelry, silver, ceramics, garden antiques, rugs, textiles, fine and folk art, architectural artifacts and more, the Antiques + Modernism Winnetka Show offers something for everyone’s taste and budget.
