Bike Path Robbery Report was False: Cops

Wheeling man charged with criminal sexual abuse in connection to July incident in Highland Park.

The following information is from the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Jessie Berger, 24, of the 2700 block of Lauretta Place was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct for filing a false police report of a robbery on the bike path near Moraine Road and Waukegan Avenue at 7:25 p.m. on Aug. 29.

CRIMINAL SEXUAL ABUSE
Andrzej Corael, 40, Wheeling was charged with two counts of criminal sexual abuse and two counts of battery after an investigation concluded into an incident in the 1900 block of Green Bay Road in July.

SPEEDING 35+ OVER LIMIT
Conor Murray, 26 was charged after a stop near Park Avenue West and Skokie Valley Road at 1:35 a.m. on Sept. 1.

THEFT
Kelvis Guerra-Briceno, 28, Speedway, Ind. was charged with possession of stolen property after an investigation into a theft reported in the 1400 block of Waverly Road in August.

BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE
The driver’s side window of a Honda Civic parked in the 1800 block of Sunset Road at 3:41 p.m. on Aug. 30 was reported smashed. Stolen items include a purse that contained a Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

THEFT
An Echo gas leaf blower was taken from an unlocked trailer between 3:40 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Aug. 31 in the 1400 block of Cavell Avenue.
