Body Found In Fort Sheridan Preserve Near Lake Michigan: Report

Police are investigating the death and said there is no ongoing threat to the public.

LAKE FOREST, IL — A man was found dead early Saturday morning near the shore of Lake Michigan in the Fort Sheridan Forest Preserve, according to a release from the Lake County Major Crimes Task Force.

Highland Park police were called to the preserve shortly after 5 a.m. They found the man's body when they arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Officials said there is no ongoing threat to the community. The man's death is under investigation.
