HPHS Teacher Named Physical Education Teacher of the Year

The Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (IAHPERD) is pleased to announce Victoria Otto as the 2011 Illinois Secondary School Educator of the Year. This award is given in recognition of Otto’s high professional standards, her promotion of physical health and well-being, her dedication to teaching and her service to the profession.

The award will be presented to Victoria Otto on the evening of Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011 at the IAHPERD state convention, which will be held at the Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, Illinois.

Otto will now also be considered for Midwest District Teacher of the Year. The Midwest District consists of six states: Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia. The Midwest District is one of six districts that make up the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
