Burglars Target One Block: Highland Park Crime Blotter

The crime blotter covers incidents in Highland Park from Aug. 24 through 30.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following is the most recent crime blotter from the Highland Park Police Department.

BURGLARY

  • Vehicle - Aug. 24 at 8:43 p.m.
    • A resident reported that an unknown person entered their unlocked car that was parked in the 1400 block of Chantilly Boulevard. A couple of items were taken, police said.
  • Attempt - Aug. 24 at 5:25 p.m.
    • A resident told police that an unknown person entered their unlocked car that was parked in the 3000 block of Parkside Drive. Though nothing was stolen, there was damage to the interior, police said.
  • Vehicle/Residence - Aug. 24 at 3:36 p.m.
    • A resident told police that an unknown burglar entered their garage and two unlocked vehicles parked inside in the 3000 block of Parkside Drive. Items were taken from both the cars and the garage, police said.

  • Retail - Aug. 24 at 10:39 a.m.
    • A resident reported that there was graffiti on the sidewalk in the 300 block of Prospect Avenue.

THEFT

  • Retail - Aug. 24 at 10:19 a.m.
    • Staff at the Target located at 2099 Skokie Valley Road told police that a woman took $33 worth of merchandise without paying.
