Burglars Target Unlocked Cars Along Residential Street: Highland Park Crime Blotter

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following is the most recent crime blotter from the Highland Park Police Department.
THEFT
- Retail - June 3 at 11:01 a.m.
- Staff at the Target located at 2099 Skokie Valley Road reported that two people had taken $109.97 in merchandise without paying.
- Property - June 4 at 2:14 p.m.
- A resident reported that somebody had stolen personal property after they set it down in the 400 block of Central Avenue. They noticed it was missing after they came back to get it.
- Retail - June 7 at 8:51 p.m.
- Police received a report of a theft from CVS at 15396 Clavey Road. An employee told police that a woman took $105.90 worth of merchandise without paying.
TRESPASSING

- Property - June 4 at 5:49 a.m.
- A resident called the police to report that someone was trespassing on their property at 1849 Green Bay Road despite being advised not to return. The subject left prior to the officers' arrival.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
- Vehicle -June 4 at 2:14 p.m.
- A resident reported that somebody had shattered the front passenger side window of their car that was parked at 1220 Fredrickson Place. Nothing was stolen from the car.

- Vehicle - June 6 at 11:26 a.m.
- A resident told police that somebody entered their unlocked car overnight in the 800 block of Marion Avenue and took $25 in cash.
- Attempt - May 27 at 1:31 p.m.
- A resident reported that somebody had entered their unlocked car overnight in the 900 block of Marion Avenue, but nothing was stolen.

- A resident reported that somebody had entered their unlocked car in the evening in the 900 block of Marion Avenue, but nothing was stolen.
- Vehicle - May 24 at 10:48 a.m.
- A resident told police that somebody entered their unlocked car sometime between Friday and Saturday in the 700 block of Marion Avenue and took $10 in cash.
