RETAIL THEFT Yoralis Sepulveda, 19, Waukegan was arrested and charged with retail theft over $300 after police responded to a complaint in the 200 block of Skokie Valley Road at 1:31 p.m. on Sept. 6. BURGLARY Andres Alvarez, 33, Mount Prospect was arrested and charged with burglary, possession of a controlled substance and criminal trespass to property after police responded to a complaint in the 1000 block of Central Avenue at 12:09 a.m. on Sept. 12. CRIMINAL DAMAGE An unknown person damaged a mailbox in the 2300 block of Shady Lane between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 5. Damage to the mailbox was estimated at $150. BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLES An unknown black man was reported to have smashed windows on three different vehicles in the 700 block of Deer Creek Parkway around 2:15 p.m. on Sept. 6. Two purses were stolen in the incidents. THEFT An unknown subject stole a laptop computer from an office in the 700 block of Park Avenue West between noon and 6 p.m. on Sept. 7.
