Charlie Love, Blues Challenge Winner, To Play Norton's
Award-winning high-energy bluesman Charlie Love will make a special appearance Saturday September 17 at Norton's, backed by Joan & Gary Gand

The reigning winner of the Chicago Blues Challenge, chosen to compete against the world's best entertainers in the international competition in Memphis, is bringing his high-energy performance style to Norton's Restaurant in Highland Park for a special appearance on September 17. Backed by the North Shore's own Joan and Gary Gand, the veteran performer has made this his first local gig after performing on the most recent Blues Cruise alongside the biggest names in the business.
Though rooted in the styles of B.B. King and Bobby Bland, Charlie Love is known to get audiences out of their seats with a blend of powerful R&B, soaring soul and hard rocking blues that make him a regular at local venues from the Kingston Mines to Buddy Guy's Legends.
The action starts at 9:30 pm, and includes an appearance by local blues vocalist ShortStack Steve Temkin.
