City Seeks Nominations for Beautification Awards
Businesses whose overall appearance integrates aesthetics and consistency are sought.

The Business and Economic Development Commission is currently accepting nominations for the Mayor’s 2015 Beautification Awards. These awards recognize Highland Park businesses whose overall appearance integrates aesthetics and consistency within the environment of the community. Award recipients will be given a Mayoral Certificate and receive public recognition at the 2015 Business Summit, in the Highlander and through a press release issued by the City.
The award is given in five different categories which include Retail, Restaurant, Auto Dealer, Service, Office or Mixed-Use Building. Award criteria includes Facade and Building Appearance; Cleanliness; Window Clarity; Adherence to City Code; Landscaping.

Nominations must be postmarked by Friday, September 4, 2015. Nomination forms maybe found here and should be sent to the Office of Business Development, 1707 St Johns Avenue, Highland Park, IL 60035 or via e-mail to apalbitska@cityhpil.com.
